At Delivery Gateway, we strive to make our billing process as clear and straightforward as possible. This section of our knowledge base provides a comprehensive guide to our subscription model, including how we handle plan changes, overuse fees, and billing cycles in collaboration with Shopify and other platforms.

Here, you will find detailed information on:

  • Understanding Overuse Fees: How we calculate and bill for usage that exceeds your plan's monthly limits.

  • Managing Plan Changes: The seamless process of upgrading or the scheduled process of downgrading your subscription.

  • Billing Frequency: How to switch between monthly and annual payment cycles.

Our goal is to ensure you have a full understanding of your account status and billing, giving you complete control over your subscription.

Overuse Fees

If you have reached the order limit for your subscription plan, the service will continue to work, but we will charge a minimal overuse fee per order. You can find the exact amount on our pricing page.

You will not be charged immediately. Instead, at the end of your 30-day billing cycle, your next invoice will include the upcoming month's base fee plus a single line item for all accumulated overuse fees from the previous month.

Overage fees are charged on a monthly basis, even for customers with an annual payment frequency.

We provide unique pricing for our Enterprise customers, and the overuse fee does not apply to them.

Plan changes

Upgrade from monthly subscription to annual:

We will charge you the full annual fee immediately. Any unused time remaining on your subscription will be credited to your current account by Shopify and the new annual fee will be applied. After you switch, your next billing date will be one year later.

Downgrade from annual subscription to monthly:

The switch to monthly payment frequency will take effect at the end of your current, already paid annual period. You can enjoy all the benefits of your annual plan until that date. From the date of the switch, our system will automatically charge the monthly fee.

Subscription cancellation

When you cancel your subscription, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle you have already paid for. During this "soft stop" period, you may continue to incur overuse fees, which will still be reported. At the end of your final billing cycle, your next invoice will not contain a new monthly fee, but it will include any accumulated overuse fees up to that point, ensuring all outstanding charges are settled.

App uninstall

In such a case, our system will send a final settlement and invoice.
