Step 1: Choose Your Logistics Service Providers π
The first task is to configure your logistics providers. You can turn on or off different pickup, delivery, and fulfillment service providers and configure their settings. The system uses a standard Polaris Index Table component for this. Clicking the pencil icon next to a provider opens a modal to adjust settings. You can set a provider for pickup, home delivery, or both. You can also setup your own stores and pickup points if you have any.
Step 2: Enable App Embed and Customize the Look and Feel π¨
To ensure the app works correctly, you must enable the app embed in the Shopify Theme Editor. The app prepares all features in the background without altering your website's code. The settings screen will show if the app embed is active or inactive. Once activated, you can use the Theme Editor to select where the Delivery Gateway widget should be displayed on your site, such as on the cart page or checkout page. Here you can also set where the pick-up/delivery selector appears on the cart page. However, embedding on the checkout page is only possible with a Shopify Plus subscription.
Step 3: Choose Your Plan π°
The app places merchants on a Free plan by default, which has a limit of 50 orders per month. If you reach this limit, the app will stop working. You will receive alerts before and after this happens. You can choose from a range of other plans, including Basic, Professional, Premium, and Enterprise, with varying order limits and features. Plans continue to function after the order limit is reached, and an overuse fee is applied.
Step 4: Advanced Settings βοΈ
This section contains additional configuration options for the app which are optional. You don't need to use these settings to use the app. They just provide you with extra options.
Step 5: Delivery Gateway first admin settings π
Delivery Gateway admin interface availability: https://admin.deliverygateway.io/login
In the "Merchant" menu, enter your basic information:
- Default sender name
- Default sender email for shipments
- Default sender phone for shipments
- Default language
- Default sender country for shipments
- Allowed HTTP referrers for embedded UI: Here you need to enter your ecommerce site's domain with /* ending. E.g. https://mystore.com/*
In order for pickup point prices to appear in the map widget, you must record the prices of each delivery partner in the pricing menu.
